TMBP Sonic Highways and The Boys Next Door

I enjoyed my ten minute writing session so much yesterday that I plan on making this a daily exercise. So let's get into this, we only have ten minutes together!

Have you been on iTunes to listen to "Songs from Sonic Highways" hosted by Dave Grohl? No? Why? Stop what you're doing, and start the program, now...don't forget to come back though! Okay, so Dave has finished talking and you're back, enjoy the tracks...

Dave Grohl, is without question, a god of rock. He would be my Wayne's World "Not Worthy" moment. His songs were with me throughout my teenage years and he hasn't stopped. He loves his craft and creates some of the greatest songs I've ever heard. How great is it to find your craft, find your passion and be able to do that for a life time and on top of all of that find great success while in the process?

Weird to say, but for many that's a scary prospect. It's easier to put your head down and work a 9-5 that's mediocre but gets you by. Not as pleasant a life, but easier. Taking risk and exposing your soul takes bravery, courage, and "sputspa!" That's probably not the correct spelling, but spell checker has no idea, and I'm on a time limit...

We received a standing ovation last night. Two ladies in the front row stood after our curtain call and the other 70 or so patrons followed suit. It was one of the most humbling moments in my life. What an honor. Playing Lucien has been a great honor. We have two shows left. I feel like we could just pick up the set and take this show on the road. The Boys Next Door is a powerful play with a powerful message, but it's not preachy. Griffon crafted an entertaining piece that knows how to pull on the heart strings. If your community puts on a production of this great piece then be sure to see the show, and I hope they perform a hit rather than a miss. That was a great concern of my company and I'm so thankful that it's speaking to our audiences.

Thanks for sharing ten minutes with me. See you tomorrow.
